Built From Real Problems,
Not a Business Plan
From digitising a logistics business in 2015 to building an AI-powered cloud platform — the journey that led to Guardian Pro and TechED Venture.
Digitising a Business From the Ground Up
In 2015, before cloud consulting, I built a logistics management platform for a family-run transport business that had never used technology. Everything was manual — billing, payments, fleet scheduling, expense approvals, all on paper. I designed and developed a system that moved the entire operation online: automated billing and payment reconciliation, real-time fleet tracking with alerts, route optimisation, expense management with approval workflows, and standardised operating procedures.
The results were significant — productivity improved, operational costs dropped, and revenue grew substantially. It was the first time technology had been introduced into that business. More importantly, deploying that platform through a cloud vendor opened my eyes to cloud infrastructure. I became more fascinated by what powered the application than the application itself.
From Cloud Curiosity to 7 Certifications
That interest led to a career change. I joined a cloud support team where I worked directly with customers on real infrastructure problems — migrations, cost overruns, security misconfigurations, architecture decisions. Each engagement deepened my understanding of how businesses actually use AWS, and what goes wrong when they don't have the right guidance.
After relocating to the UK, I pursued formal certification. Over two years, I earned all 7 AWS certifications — each on the first attempt — including both Professional-level exams (Solutions Architect and DevOps Engineer). I then joined AWS IQ as a verified expert, the marketplace where businesses could engage certified AWS engineers on demand.
The Same Problems, Over and Over
Across 25+ AWS IQ engagements, the same issues kept surfacing. Companies overspending on resources they didn't need. Security configurations left at defaults. Compliance treated as a once-a-year spreadsheet exercise. Teams overwhelmed by 200+ AWS services with no clear starting point. These weren't negligent businesses — AWS is genuinely complex, and most organisations don't have the in-house expertise to manage it properly.
What they needed was a Solutions Architect monitoring their environment continuously. But hiring one is a six-figure commitment that most businesses simply cannot justify.
When AWS IQ Shut Down, an Idea Took Shape
When AWS announced that IQ was being discontinued, I thought about the customers who would lose access to certified expertise on demand. These were businesses without in-house cloud teams — they relied on AWS IQ as a lifeline, and that lifeline was about to disappear.
That was the catalyst for Guardian Pro. Rather than a consultant you hire by the hour, what if the expertise itself was embedded in a platform? One that continuously does what a Solutions Architect would — security audits, cost analysis, architecture reviews, compliance checks — automatically, around the clock. I took everything I'd been delivering manually for AWS IQ clients and built it into Guardian Pro: 323 security checks, 204 automated remediations, an AI assistant with full infrastructure context, and the same depth of analysis I'd provide in a consulting engagement.
Consulting + Platform + Managed Services
TechED Venture now operates across three service lines. For complex projects — migrations, architecture redesigns, AI integrations — I deliver hands-on consulting. For ongoing visibility and control, Guardian Pro monitors your environment continuously. And for organisations that want to delegate AWS operations entirely, we provide fully managed services with Guardian Pro included, defined SLAs, incident response, and monthly reporting.
Every engagement is backed by 7 AWS certifications (all first-attempt), a 4.5/5.0 rating on AWS IQ, and the same principle that guided that first logistics platform back in 2015: understand the problem, build a proper solution, and ensure it works for the people who rely on it every day.

Sameer's journey began in 2015 building a logistics management platform that digitised a family transport business — automating billing, fleet tracking, route optimisation, and payment reconciliation. That experience led to a deep interest in cloud infrastructure, a career as a cloud support engineer, and eventually all 7 AWS certifications, each achieved on the first attempt.
As an AWS IQ expert, Sameer worked with 25+ clients across media, education, and technology — solving cost overruns, security misconfigurations, migration challenges, and architecture decisions. When AWS announced IQ's discontinuation, he recognised an opportunity to build what those customers would lose: on-demand access to certified AWS expertise.
That became Guardian Pro — an AI-powered platform that delivers Solutions Architect-level analysis continuously and automatically. Sameer now provides hands-on consulting for complex projects, Guardian Pro for ongoing monitoring, and fully managed AWS services with defined SLAs.
